What to Expect at Your First Physical or Occupational Therapy Visit
Your first appointment at Personal Best PT will include a comprehensive evaluation to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals.
- Medical History Review: Your therapist will review your medical history and discuss your current condition or injury.
- Screening & Assessment (For PT Patients) : A detailed physical assessment will help identify areas of pain, weakness, or limited mobility (For PT Patients).
- Functional Assessment (For OT Patients): We will assess your strength, coordination, range of motion, cognitive skills, and ability to perform daily activities like dressing, cooking, and grooming
- Personalized Plan of Care: Based on the evaluation, your therapist will design a customized therapy plan to help you achieve the best possible recovery.
- Your insurance card(s)
- Photo ID
- Any applicable copayment
- Contact information for your insurance provider, if needed
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement, such as workout attire or loose-fitting clothes.

At Personal Best Physical Therapy, we aim to make the billing and payment process as simple and transparent as possible.
We are contracted with most major insurance providers, as well as many workers’ compensation plans and personal injury/third-party lien cases. If you have questions about whether we accept your insurance, please contact our office we’re happy to help verify your benefits before your first visit.
- All copayments are due at the time of service.

Depending on your insurance plan and the type of services provided, payment in full may be required at the time of service. Our front desk team will review your coverage details and explain any out-of-pocket costs prior to treatment.
